Hello,
We have having an issue running Norton AntiVirus for Firewalls 1.5 and
Firewall-1 ver 4.0 in which it is corrupting the headers on mail.
The scenario is that we have a mail gateway (solaris box running sendmail
8.9.3) that resides behind a firewall which is doing CVP to a NAV
box. Under normal circumstances it appears to be working fine, detecting
viruses and stripping out the virus, but we have noticed quite a few
instances where it is returning mail back to the relay machine with its
headers corrupt. (ie: garbage inserted into the headers, information
stripped out of the headers), which then causes the un-infected mail to bounce.
Has anyone seen this problem before? In about 13k messages scanned we
have seen it corrupt headers in about 900 messages.
Thanks for any info in advance.
John Deragon
