If fwtop ; fwstart does not fix the problem
Try installing the latest Gui client - have you updated your client
workstation lately.

the software.

If this doesn't work, then you need to ask some
questions:
Do you remember when was the last time it worked?
If so, then, try and remember what changed since then.
Did you manually modify any of the FW files? Install
software? Removesoftware? Add hardware?
