The only way I've found to set things straight is a
shutdown/reboot...although that is a little harsh.

Subject: [FW1] if6/if7 in log files after adding new interface?

Just added a new card to a Nokia 440 and set up the interface. Now
I'm seeing if6 and if7 for my interface names in place of my old
faithful eth-s1p1c0, etc, etc.

I swear I remember reading about this problem previously but of couse
now I can't find any posts pertaining to it. How do I get my nice
interface names all back?

TIA,
Becky
