Reality check! You can place the management server wherever you like, as
long as you have IP connectivity. You didnt really provide enough detail
about your config for me to make a recommendation, however, I would suggest
to place it on its own segment. Although thats not neccesary, by doing so
you will be able to use the firewalls to control access to the management
station.

We are going to upgrade 2 "serial" or "in-tandem" checkpoint 4.0 w/sp7 vpn-1
firewalls to 4.1.
We like VPNs to be terminated either at the external or internal firewalls.
Can I have the management module/server placed in the internal network or in
between the external and internal firewalls.
I was told that the management console must be in between the two firewalls!
Would it be more secured in the internal network?
Any comments are appreciated.
