good place to start is the book "Cryptography and Network Security
Principles and Practice" by Williams Stallings, 2nd edition. It goes into
detail about Feistel cipher, S-box Design, CAST-128 round, 3DES as well as
these encryption algorithms; DES, Blowfish, IDEA and RC2, RC5.
The book also provides several references and the corresponding rfc #.
