Yup, I had one of those.
After moving to 4.1 , The expiration date was set to "never" again ( so to
speak)

In most cases this is correct, however, there were a batch of licenses that
expired in 1 year for the purpose of CP getting people to upgrade from 4.0
to 4.1.

Actually, there is a license renewal in terms of support. In
terms of the firewall license itself, there is no need for
renewal as the license that you have (if non-eval) is a permanent
license. If you do a fw printlic, it should say list under
Expiration as "Never".

When did you install your licence ?
I think there is an annual renewal of the licence :-(
I suggest you contact your CKP FW-1 reseller and find out. The
last
time I had this error was when the management did not renew the
licence. You might like to check it out. They do expire.
