Good day.
I want to play around with securemote for a little while for my CCSE exam.
Unfortunately, I do not have the tools/equipment.
What I do have though is a fw1 box, a win2k server, an a notebook.
The firewall has a 1 nic, running linux 2.2.16 and fw-1 4.1 with trial lics
for all that I need.
The network address is 192.168.1.0/24, I want to put the notebook on
172.16.0.0 and add a sub interface on the firewall with an address in the
class b range. They all use the same physical segment. Will this scenario
work with securemote trying to access the win2k services on the class c
network?
If not, can you guys please tell me how I could go about trying this out,
the machines have to be on two different subnets though because I want to
play around with routing and nat also.
