Dan,
I used this at a previous company succesfully. The NT server was running
intrusion detection management software (The actual detection software was
on other boxes) and the SUN box was running FW-1 management and some other
management tools. It was necessary to use NT for the intrusion detection as
the selected tool did not run on Solaris.
It worked fine, and was much more convenient than having two physically
separate machines.
