I have two firewalled gateways with the same policy implemented on each. This policy
includes rules for the SMTP security server which is used to rewrite the To: and From:
fields int the mail messages. When traffic is routed through the first firewall,
everything works fine. When traffic is routed through the second firewall, all
specified services work fine except for SMTP. No mail is forwarded. I checked the
asmtpd.log file on the second firewall and found entries such as these:
Database is lost: unable to reload
socket_worker (88): select failed: Unknown Winsock error (10038)
T_evenet_NT_mainloop: wait failed: The handle is invalid.
asmtpd: Wed Mar 28 14:12:00 2001
Database is lost: unable to reload
socket_worker (76): select failed: Unknown Winsock error (10038)
T_evenet_NT_mainloop: wait failed: The handle is invalid.
asmtpd: Wed Mar 28 14:12:03 2001
Database is lost: unable to reload
socket_worker (85): select failed: Unknown Winsock error (10038)
T_evenet_NT_mainloop: wait failed: The handle is invalid.
asmtpd: Wed Mar 28 14:12:05 2001
Database is lost: unable to reload
Does anyone have any insight as to what the problem could be and how to rectify it?
Thanks in advance,
Jim
