Title: RE: [FW1] CheckPoint FW-1- Moving a Management Server

There's docs on the public part of CheckPoint's web site that document
a redundant Management Server setup for 4.x.  You might be able to adapt
those instructions to your needs, i.e. bring up a second mgmt server on
Windows, register it with the firewall, duplicate the config from the Sun,
and down the Sun.

As long as the config file formats are the same across platforms, it
should be a piece of cake.  Of course, YMMV.  :)

Subject: [FW1] CheckPoint FW-1- Moving a Management Server

Our infrastructure:
Two Checkpoint FW-1 version 4.1 installed on a Sun Solaris and on a
Compaq NT 4.0. The management server currently sits on the Sun box. We would
like to move the management server to another NT box.

        - Can the Management server run on Windows 2000?
        - What are the procedures (documentation) for moving a management server?
