Hi Everyone,

My security architecture is such that it does not
allow SMTP.
This becomes an issue now that i am attempting to
configure my mailserver with a public address on one
NIC and my corporate network local address on another.

The alternative i have is to mount this mailserver in
front of the firewall so that it takes its source
directly from the router .I intend to include on the
router an explicit deny all that permits only SMTP
.This is done to nullify the security vulnerability of
opening up a machine to the public and concurrently
talking to my corporate network.

What security implication can this arrangement
have? What are the security compromises yet to be taken
care of for now.

I await ur response and reactions.
Thanks.
