Hi,all

Doesn't FW1 automatically cut logs into files daily?
Should I run 'fw logswitch' manually or by crontab to do this?

I've done nothing with the logs since I set up my FW1, and I find that
fw.log is so big.
Will it cause any problem? Can I and how can I cut it into pieces now?

I also find that there're many log files like ela_08152000_022430.log in
$FWDIR/log.
When I use 'fw log' to list them, I find they only include a few, even none,
log entries.
How these small log files appear? What does 'ela' mean?

And what are the files of '.alog', '.alogptr', '.logptr', '.logtrack',
'.vlog' and '.vlogptr'?

Thanks a lot!

Winway
