Yes, check your /etc/services file or the
/winnt/services/drivers/etc/services file.
Deleting or renaming these files and restarting the gui should force the
logs to show port numbers for non-fw-defined services.

Subject: [FW1] log services

Hello all,

I have a question. In the log viewer, under the column "service", the
log shows you what service (port) is being used. Sometimes, the logs
will list services by name (such as mail (which is NOT smtp 25) or
openmath), but these services are not listed in Manage-Services in the
policy editor. Besides the obvious of looking that service up on the
internet, is there anyway to determine what port(s) are being used
w/these services? Can this be turned off in the log viewer like the
resolved addresses so it will just show me port numbers?

Thanks,

Aeon
