Hello Gavin,
I'm a little bit concerned about the backward compatibility with
docbook. I think it's almost "impossible" to revert it back to docbook.
If you export a space as html, the output looks very very nice, but the
sidebar isn't working, because it uses ajax. It would be a lot simpler
for me to take that html or xml output (this can be done with a soap
client) and create a pdf from that.
What do you think?

Hi Andries,
The new wiki manual has already exceeded expectations, and looks and
works well for our needs. Although some small, but possibly
time-consuming, tweaks might be done, may I suggest we begin thinking
about the next major step (wiki-to-docbook)?
For those not familiar with the wiki manual project:
======================================
Before we can switch to using the new wiki manual, we need to preserve
existing abilities. We need the ability to create a PDF and HTML
version of the wiki manual. We might attempt to use the wiki's export
capabilities, but I'm concerned it might require a large effort to get
the desired effects. We might also use the ZF itself to produce the
PDF manual.
Instead, we could use an approach already known to work (docbook to
PDF/HTML). If we can translate the wiki back to docbook, then we have
a complete solution.
Cheers,
Gavin
