There has been very little, if any, work done on this since proposed. I
believe that the ACL team may be using it.
I would be good to get it in shape because it can be the basis of other
good things -- an non-QuickForm like Form Controller was the original
intention.

Just a further question: Which project team is on control of
Zend_Filter(Chain) and Zend_Validator? Maybe it makes more sense to
discuss the issues within the responsible project team mailing list...
