PDO_MYSQL should support all versions of MySQL, including 5. What problems
are you seeing?

Allen's tutorial. The native php_pdo_mysql.dll with PHP 5.1.6 only
supports
mySQL versions 3.x/4.x. I can downgrade mySQL to a 4.1.x version if I have
to but i'd rather not.
