My first though was, let's have choice and disable it by default. But  
on the other hand you're not using a single class of ZF, you're using  
the MVC part. And a view is not optional in MVC. Thus as long as it's  
possible to use other template engines there's nothing wrong with  
viewRender making our lives easier.
