Yep, The interface should be very simple. Being a defined set of specifications it's largely complex under the hood where all the fun stuff gets done, but the programmer input into it is quite small. I'm sure Dmitry would agree the more eyes the better - OpenID 2.0 in particular is a tough nut to implement compared to the simplicity of OpenID 1.1. It has an extra painful exercise in specification hand holding by using Yadis (an XML service discovery protocol).
