Ah,
Made one tiny change and it works:
$request = $this->getRequest();
$path = $request->getPathInfo();
if ('_preview' == substr($path, -8)) {
$request->setParam('cmsPreview', true);
$path = substr($path, 0, strlen($path) - 8);
$request->setPathInfo($path);
}
from -8 to -9. Seems resetting the path likes '/' over '' when it is the
default/index/index page.
