Hi,

I have updated the code so it instantiates Andries_Form, instead of Zend_Form_Abstract.

You must feel very special now :).

As far as the view goes, nothing holds me from using my own 2 step view integration, which i wrote before Zend_Layout was there, and which I'm comfortable with.

Best,

So my point of view...
first point:
Simply because it's possible create an instance of Zend_Form_Abstract you do it?
Sorry, this isn't an argument. If you see the mistake (normally before writing
the article), why don't you report it or mark it as an mistake? This is more
efficient than simply doing something wrong.

second point:
You can't compare Zend_Layout with another view engine.
The difference is, that you build a own implementation though there is an
existing implementation.
So - if the article should be a introduction - why don't you use unknown
components.

third point:
I've already posted some issues here
http://www.nabble.com/RE%3A-Zend_Form-proposal-ready-for-review-p14437914s16154.html
And what I expected?
Something like the article in the devzone about Zend_Form, reusage of fields,
build a form by using a xml/db markup or something else!

best regards
