I am currently working on advanced text layout capability for Zend_Pdf.
The base text class is an attributed string, essentially a micro-RTF
document itself. Right now, I'm working on the drawing classes to take
these attributed strings and turn them into PDF output.
I had thought it would be nice at some point to create another rendering
class which would turn the strings into full-fledged RTF documents, but
that would be many months out for me. If you have time, I'd love to work
together with you and have you do the RTF portion. Then we'd have a set
of components in the framework that could generate RTF or PDF output
from the same source.
