IMO you're doing it for the right reasons - user experience. I hate
compensating for a design flaw (like so many of Internet Explorer's
'features') so I won't personally fix this error on the server side.
It's in the same category as CSS Hacks and browser sniffing...
But I concur that it is ridiculously technical and absurd for an end-
user to deal with messages like 'POST DATA...' - it should be confined
to developers/debugging only. If they had an ounce of sense in the
first place the same check would be called and a message would say
'Are you sure you wish to send your form again?'... SIgh...

Yes, technically it's not a critical thing, but IMHO showing a popup
"The page you're trying to see contains POSTDATA..." is a technical
message and should not appear to the user, who is not interested to
know about this tech things. For us is something clear and we know
how to manage it but there are people who doesn't know what the word
POST stands for. The user doesn't know either if clicking again will
be harmful for his data or not, so avoiding these kind of decisions
it's better for the user experience.
It sounds a bit perfectionist, but as i don't want to show any
thrown exception from the application, i don't want to show popups
like these either.
