Hi all,

As Wil has previously mentioned, we plan to complete active maintenance
of the release-1.0 branch with a 1.0.4 release that will coincide with
the release of 1.5.0RC1. This means that we will no longer be actively
maintaining the release-1.0 branch.

The code freeze for these releases is currently scheduled for 21:00
(9:00pm) PST (GMT-8) on Wednesday, February 20. Framework contributors
should have completed their work for the 1.0.4 and 1.5.0RC1 releases by
this time.

There will be a new branch named release-1.5, from which all 1.5.X
releases (e.g., 1.5.0RC1, 1.5.0 (GA), 1.5.1) will be tested and tagged
for packaging. This new release-1.5 branch will become the active
release maintenance branch to which developers should consider merging
backward-compatible fixes from the trunk (just like release-1.0 has been
up to this point).

During the code freeze, development in /trunk may continue as usual, but
merges to release branches (e.g., release-1.0, release-1.5) should not
occur during this time without approval from a Zend liaison.

Thanks to all the contributors who make these releases possible!

Best regards,
Darby
