We'd like to announce that we have chosen a winner for our ZF QuickStart Contest. Or that we haven't chosen one, as the case may be. Both Aldemar Bernal and Bradley Holt submitted excellent entries, each with their own strong points. We thought Aldemar's concrete example was very effective, while Bradley's clear and concise way of explaining things was perfect for our QuickStart. And the best part is that they seem to complement each other perfectly. So we've decided to award the grand prize to both Aldemar and Bradley. Both will receive Zend Studio licenses and ZF T-Shirts, and they will share recognition as co-authors of the Official ZF QuickStart. But ultimately everyone wins, because by combining the content from both of these entries we will be able to put together a very strong QuickStart and dramatically improve the first hour of the ZF experience.
Again, congrats to *Aldemar Bernal* and *Bradley Holt*, and thanks for your excellent entries. I will be editing the Official ZF QuickStart over the rest of the weekend on the wiki: http://framework.zend.com/wiki/display/ZFDEV/Official+ZF+QuickStart. We hope to have the QuickStart available in its final location on the main site for Monday. I would greatly appreciate any input you might have; just leave your comments on the draft version (keep in mind content will be added and hopefully perfected between now and Sunday evening). Thanks to everyone who participated in any way- and if you didn't get a chance to submit an entry for this contributor contest, don't fret! We will be announcing new contributor contests from time to time with a variety of goals and prizes. ,Wil
