I would say this has to do with (2) as well, but here are some business wise
reasons:

- Pros:
* Very active community. If I hit a show stopper, the community has an
amazingly skilled and committed people who wouldn't miss a chance to tackle
hard issues, or quickly respond to bugs found in the framework!
* By Zend, it is easier to convince clients.

- Cons:
No Zend_Magic yet :/
Seriously though :), one of the things I see missing from the ZF message, is
Performance. If a colleague or a client asks me how well ZF performance is,
I've no idea. Maybe it's there somewhere, but I missed it. I understand
performance is hard to benchmark in ZF because everyone can do her or his
thing in a different way. But maybe component based

- Zend_Form; Even though it was still in the incubator back then. It was
something I'm searching for and had only found in ZF. Other popular
frameworks I looked at had no more than view helpers to support forms.
- I liked the extensive *correct* use of PHP5's OOP & new features. I was
starting to think that PHP is aging an starting to feel like C, until I had
a look at ZF.
- Extreme flexibility and extensibility.
- Needless to say, very nice components!
