Hey all, time to reveal what we've been doing with the tools. We're
moving to a new datacenter on 2 new machines and a managed DB. This
should really help with availability, and hopefully with responsiveness
of the apps since we'll have a lot more memory and the apache and java
processing separated. The idea was to reinstall the tools with the
latest versions and enable SSO across all tools (in the process putting
a user-management tool in place that we could authenticate against for
future tools).
Everything is done at this point except one task: importing our user
population in the new user store. Basically passwords are getting
screwed up during import because of encoding differences.
So, here's what I'd like to know from you all:

Would you prefer that we put the old tools back up in their current
versions, or can we live with read-only mode for another day while I
continue to work on the password issue?

Also, I'd love to hear from any Atlassian experts out there-
particularly those who have a lot of experience with Crowd. For simple
yeas and nays please email me directly to avoid a lot of unnecessary
traffic on the list.

*Very* sorry for the inconvenience.
