As many of you are aware, we've been working on revamping the proposal process to clarify the proposal author's and the Zend team's responsibilities, provide some turnaround time assurances from the Zend team, and to add a new 'extras' library that will allow us to accept many great proposals that for whatever reason Zend cannot support. I can now announce that the process has been fully rolled out along with the SVN reorganization that Matthew has been working on to support it. You'll find all the details on the Proposers Wiki: http://framework.zend.com/wiki/display/ZFPROP/Home. Make sure you click through the small lifecycle diagram to get to the full-size image. We've already begun the recommendation process for many proposals using the updated process, which you will find in the new 'Pending Recommendation' section. We'll be getting to many more in the upcoming weeks. I'd be fibbing if I said this didn't take longer than we had hoped it would. I greatly appreciate everyone's patience, and I hope we'll be able to show you that it was all worth it to build a system in which we can handle the much greater volume of proposal submissions that we've been seeing lately. Also, thanks everyone who reviewed, commented on, and generally helped us shape the updated process.
Now start submitting more proposals, already! :) ,Wil
