Just a reminder that the feature-complete (that means all code, unit
tests, and documentation) deadline for all contributions targeted for
the 1.6 release is 6/30. You still have time to get your commits in- but
not much. Please keep in mind that we'll be releasing 1.7 relatively
quickly after 1.6. In fact, we may even begin release planning for 1.7
before the 1.6 GA is released. :o
Also, one other quick note. We've accumulated a lot of bug fixes on
trunk. It seems like a mini release is overdue at this point. Because
we'd prefer not to distract those who are furiously coding for the 1.6
release, we've decided to put off the code freeze for 1.5.3 until 7/7.
That should give all you non-Americans something to do while we drink
beer and play with explosives over here. :)
So, again: Feature freeze for 1.6 is 6/30 with only bug fixes after that
date. Code freeze for 1.5.3 is 7/7. Don't worry if you can't get your
contributions in to either one of these, because 1.7 will be coming
along shortly.
Hope those are enough releases to keep you busy for a while. ;)
