Hello Matt, this sounds like a great addition.
You should make an SVN diff of all your changes and put it into a Patch Issue into the ZF Jira Issue Tracker. Additionally you should provide unit-tests for your changes and make sure that old functionality is not broken. Post all this attachments into your jira issue and post the link back into this issue to get people voting for it.
