I assume by Wamp you mean WampServer. WampServer bills themselves as a development tool, "WampServer is a Windows web development environment." (see http://www.wampserver.com/en/presentation.php), not a production server. I'm not as familiar with VertrigoServ as with WampServer, but I'll say from my experience with the beta of Zend Server, it's a similar to a cross-platform WampServer, only easier to use and with commercial support available. You're right, they're similar products. But I definitely like Zend Server's UI, monitoring stuff, and so forth, better than WampServer. I could also use Zend Server on both my development (Windows) and production (Linux) boxes.
