It serves as the 'official' tutorial, as it were, of how a specific version was meant to be used at that time. Being able to view various tutorials of various versions over time is helpful, but it would be more helpful to have the official Zend version be archived as well. Developers may come in to projects which aren't using the latest ZF. Being able to view what the recommended 'getting started' way of doing things for the version they're using has benefit. Being able to then compare that to the new version can give a useful idea of what core concepts have changed in the context of example code, beyond brute force changelogs. Not sure if this deserves an official 'request' some place. If it does, let me know where I should lodge it.
