There are no plans that I'm aware of since there are something like a billion template engines, well, maybe less than that ;). I'm not sure if anyone has actually tried a formal proposal under the ZendX namespace however. Might be worth a short - maybe ask around on the #zftalk.dev channel on Freenode IRC sometime.
