Hi Renan, No, it's a bug in the helper. The class was originally coded for a refactoring of Zend_Cache which never materialised. In the timeframe up to the alpha release I never got around to my usual review so it slipped past me. I'll be fixing it in trunk (using a small base64 encoded workaround to outwit that Exception) over the weekend.
This is assuming the quantity of turkey I consume tomorrow does not prove fatal ;).
