Heya, That is (for me personally) indeed true: I spent the last 2 years fiddling around Zend Framework 2 and started converting everything already at early stages.
As of now, I don't have any more ZF1 projects standing, or at least none that needs upgrades or new features. That also means that I don't need to search of new ways to implement features with ZF1, and instead will look at how to solve problems with ZF2 components (which you can already do, even if you are using ZF1). I am trying to focus on how to make my code and the code of the framework itself better by putting more effort in helping ZF2 newcomers or answering ZF2 questions in general. This is my point of view as contributor though.
