I actually have working code that successfully negotiates using NTLM.
I'm not quite satisfied with it, however. I included an NTLM library
from CPAN, but am only using a couple of the internal functions. It's a
non-ideal solution, but it works.
I'm away from home for Thanksgiving; I'll go ahead and post the diff
when I get home Saturday night.
