Hello,

The short answer is, the current version of fwknop will not work on pfSense.

>From what I understand, pfSense is a FreeBSD-based system. At present
(that is fwknop 2.0.0 rc1) only works with Linux, iptables-based
firewalls.

The next release candidate (rc2) will have some support for FreeBSD
systems using "ipfw". The rc2 build should be available within the next
week or two . However, I believe pfSense uses "pf".

We plan to support "pf" (and eventually "ipf"). Unfortunately, we don't
have an ETA for this functionality. I would like to see "pf" support in
the final 2.0.0 release, but much will depend on how the release
candidates work out.

When fwknop supports "pf", it should be possible to create a pfSense
package based on the fwknop from the source.

Regards,

-Damien
