Eugene, First do you have an HDTV? If not I would worry about ATSC/QAM and just get a hardware mpeg encoder NTSC tuner. If you do have an HD set then you will probably want both as the majority of you content will on be available via Analog NTSC but you will want to give priority to you QAM tuner so you can enjoy the beauty of HD.
