Hello all, I'm new - and actually do not live in the Ft. Wayne area, although visit fairly frequently. I'm subscribing more because I'm the "family" tech support for some relatives out there, and was looking for some contacts for some hired guns to help in emergencies. Would any of you be available to for some substitute support in a case like this (for pay of course) ? What are the going rates / hr of housecall type support there? If so, I'd like to move as many people as I can to Ubuntu - because they all seem to be able screw up windows just so quickly its really not worth my time anymore - and I can't see any real reason for using it - except for a virtual machine or two for spicific software they own.
For some background, I'm an Ubuntu user (work and home) for 4 years, and have setup 20-30 virtual machines with different configurations for different purposes. Thanks - and Happy Holidays, Adam
