Hi everyone,

Happy St. Patrick's day to all...

This is a final reminder and call for participation in this month's LUG meeting, "Voiding Your Warranty", this Thursday, March 19, 7:00pm at
Canterbury High School, 3210 Smith Road. As usual, the full particulars
are online at http://www.fortwaynelug.org. (Note that there will be no pre-session this month.)

Routers, storage units, even your trusty Tivo - an ever increasing
number of devices either run Linux and can be tweaked and modified or
they *can* run Linux with some tinkering. The catch is that such
tweaking, modifying, jail-breaking, or hacking will usually *gasp* void
the warranty.

If you've ever done that to a device, we'd love to have you join us in
our celebration of the voided warranty. Bring out your device and your
tales of hacking and tweaking, or just come out and revel in sheer
lawlessness and rebellion of it all.

If you have a device hack you'd be willing to talk about, let me know if
you can (for planning purposes), but all hacks are welcome as long as
they involve Linux on some kind of device.

Among other things, an internal view of a hacked Tivo Series I PVR will
be part of the show.

Also, if Brendan comes out, we'll see if HE can spell "poltergeist". ;)

Cheers,
Vern
