These servers are real...  Some of these concepts are being used in
embedded markets...  I use some x86 SBC boards for projects and having
a service provided by a 3-5 watt server is cool...

Google's servers are customized.  The motherboard takes only 12V DC so
the power supply does not have to manage a 5v and 3.3v rail.  Soon you
will start seeing solutions like this hit the market with and without
the battery.  You can currently get the ASUS EEE Desktop models with
the battery with an ATOM 330 processor.
