Sounds like fun. I'd probably go, assuming it didn't conflict with any of my usual summer festivities.

Hello, all,

The Bloomington LUG just had an "open house" style all-day LAN party
this past Saturday and had a great time of it.

BLUG had a loose schedule set up to sort of give the day a frame.

People came and went as they wished.

Theirs functioned, in part, as a way of taking a tour through all the
great Linux networked games available. (If you care, when asked their
favorites the response was Saurbraten (First Person Shooter), Warzone
2100 (Real Time Strategy), Teeworlds (Barry's words were "a very cute
2D multiplayer brawler"), and BZFlag (tank battles).)

They also had someone showing off how to use Blender (aspiring for
something like Ben's excellent GIMP intro, I'd imagine), and had some
time set aside for "Share Linux knowledge, config files, etc.".

I'm just wondering how many of you reading this would be interested in
coming to some kind of big LAN party this summer?

I personally would want to play some networked games, and I know some
others of you might not. I think we can come up with a good mix of
stuff to do that's interesting to a wide range of people, though.

I think it could be fun.

What do you think?
