Hi everyone,
Just a quick reminder that the Fort Wayne LUG will be meeting this
Thursday, Jan 21, at 7:00 pm in the computer lab at Canterbury High
School, 3210 Smith Road. For maps, and the full explanation, see:

This month's topic is a two parter "Remote/Embedded control with Linux":
1. Driving a Roomba with an N-800, VernCeder
See how an old Nokia N800 and iRobot's Create, a research version of
the Roomba, can be combined to yield a remote controlled robot with
remote video. This uses mostly off-the-shelf parts and software for a
total Mars rover experience. ;)
2. Introduction to the Arduino on Linux, SimonRuiz, JimmyScott
The arduino is a small, inexpensive micro-controller that can be
used for embedded control in a variety of situations/devices. See how
easy it is to start arduino hacking with Linux, and learn what you need
to get started.
Hope to see everyone on Thursday.
Cheers,
Vern
