Wayne,

In our "reading room" I have a copy of "The Robert Shaw Reader"
[Eileen reads it also.] I must compliment you on your following most
of his principles [in contrast to the other 4 choral conductors I have
had experience with here in Ft Wayne.] Break it down so that the
least capable makes no mistakes at what ever tempo is necessary for
that, employ count singing, use a lots of monosylabic tones at a non
stressful level of volume and tempo for learning, work on dynamics,
and finally work on the words. I cringe and am sad at not having had
such opportunities with the other 4 groups. Opportunities lost.

Keep it up.

John
