I use Dreamhost, and I've been pretty happy with them. The only problem I've had was with another customer who was aliasing his domain with one of the names I own. He'd been doing it for years and it wasn't a problem until I registered the domain name and pointed the nameservers to Dreamhost. They e-mailed him and he fixed things in less than 24 hrs. In my experience, they have excellent customer service. I've seen hosting companies that are a little cheaper and some that cost a lot more, but I don't feel the need to swtich. Their dedicated hosting plans start at $15 a month. They give you a free two-week trial, so try them out and see if you like it.
P.S. Despite rumours to the contrary, they have not been sold to another company. This seems to be a recurring April Fool's joke. Last year it was Google, in prior years, Microsoft. http://blog.dreamhost.com/2011/04/01/dreamhost-is-now-part-of-the-endurance-international-group/ On Sun, Apr 10, 2011 at 1:00 PM, <[email protected]> wrote: > Send Fwlug mailing list submissions to > [email protected] > > To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit > http://fortwaynelug.org/mailman/listinfo/fwlug_fortwaynelug.org > or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to > [email protected] > > You can reach the person managing the list at > [email protected] > > When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific > than "Re: Contents of Fwlug digest..." > > > Today's Topics: > > 1.
