Ah, *THAT* 'golf tee puzzle' -- Dunno about Japhy's solution, but there's a *TON* of material about solving this general puzzle [I guess the golf-tee one is the triangular one, while there's also an older commercial one called "Hi-Q" that was in the shape of a plus-sign [with 31 pegs that you needed to pare down to a single peg in the center]].
