Google Earth is a free download (unless you need the professional version). You did not specify your operating system, so there is no way for me to tell which version you need...
Mac OS 10.4 and up uses version 4.3. Download: http://earth.google.com/ Mac OS 10.3.9 does not run anything higher than 4.0.
