(and I'm just totally spitballing here) boot from classic OS CD. like 8.6 onto clamshell, System A Partition the drive into a large partition and a small one. install 8.6 on the small one. connect SYSA to a network with the device with the system to be cloned. (SYSB) share the large partition on SYSA Mount the large partition on SYSB, clone drive to mounted partition. Shot down, disconnect A from the network hold down optio key to see if you can boot from large partition. You can then use a utility to delete the small partition and re-merge it with the big one, if you want. -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group Institutions do not have opinions, merely customs --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to Low End Mac's G-Books list, a group for those using G3 iBooks and PowerBooks (we run a separate list for G4 'Books).
