On pre-New World machines, the OS X partition must be in the first 8 GB (8192 MB). Wallstreet was the LAST Old World PB. OS9 can be in the first 128 GB (131,072 MB), however. So, best to reserve the first 8192 MB for OS X boot functions, including OS X itself. Once booted, applications may be executed from the remainder of the 131,072 MB. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to Low End Mac's G-Books list, a group for those using G3 iBooks and PowerBooks (we run a separate list for G4 'Books).
