Kris,

I appreciate your suggestions.  I expanded this to included appletalk,
file sharing both extensions & control panel.  I moved about 6 items
from 9.1 to 9.2.1
one at a time. Restarted the computer....still the same thing.  File
sharing started up just fine.  But when I went to appletalk and
selected "ethernet" connections it responds by asking me to check my
connections.  So, I re-installed 9.1 and things, like usual are
working "normal" in linking to my imac.

Thanks for ur suggestions and if u have others let me know.
