Hello! 1) Not needed for light usage. I still wait for my new memory modules, but so far I can see, my 400 MHz Pismo with only 192 MB is not really slow, even for opening Word under OS X Tiger. Yes, it could be faster, but I think that is just a matter of RAM in this case.
2) For those old Zips and Superdrives from VST, eBay is the best choice. Here in Germany they are very rare. 3) Try to look for those with a Broadcom Chipset. http://broadcom.rapla.net/ I use the WLI-CB-G54A andi t works great.
